Looks like Sheinbaum is not only much more open-minded than AMLO, but also prone to oppose him to follow her own path, as this quote clearly shows: "Sheinbaum has on rare occasions shown brief flashes of rebellion against Lpez Obrador."

And she's planning to many things very differently than AMLO. That's a huge positive sign that things could very quickly become more positive for miners in Mexico.

ALMO literally stopped all mine approvals to help his homies in the southern part of Mexico. The open pit ban is just part of that stonewalling. Nothing will change until a few months prior to November (when he leaves) when departments start transitioning. Mining literally has 6 years of backlog due to this "politician". They use all kinds of posturing excuses but the facts are open-pit
