Tell us again how it wont happen :). Mexico is now firmly on the way to a banana republic and nothing stands in the way of the open pit ban being formalized as well. Remember that an informal ban has been in place for a while already, no new open pit permit have been issued for many years.

I dont live there thankfully. Of course they were only interested in grabbing power, this doesnt fix anything, it makes the judiciary a lacky for the executive. Its now well on its way towards a dictatorship, its uninvestable.

They say that they will, but $$$ talks! They need the jobs, and the GDP boost too much to slow the project. IMO
