otherwise on a daily basis silver and gold prices are all reactive to USDX. Fed interest rate policy annoucements - any bit of macro economic news / geopolitical news - upcoming options expiries when markets are manipulated down.
traded up and down every day. long term is long term hold if that is your estimation.
a lot of gold and precious metals stocks did well over the last month or so. in hindsight the sell day was dec 12th knowing there was a lot of annoucements this week.
