"Good news on the surface but we are only climbing pennys at a time, not nickels or dimes or more.
I read the release that Kellum would be an "officer", not a full time, day to day hands on director.
I don't see where he quit his "day job" to come to work for us.
I've seen this before with companies when they hire a name. The name gets his money but we are left with our existing management to to try and capitalize on it, not the name out there selling for us."

That's the picture I had in mind regarding this news and it would fit with everything that has ever happened with this company. It is obvious that this was not going to be an important job for him. That being said, what he brings us is yet to be determined. Maybe some good will come out of it. But I'm not very impressed by this acquisition for now (said with Eeyore's tired and ...more

Never know who comes or go. Basic Things of “Go” and “Goes” – The form “go” is used with a subjective plural case, while “goes” comes up with a subjective singular case.Aug 30, 2017

I read that exact thing and it made me wonder whether a "perceived" or perhaps "postured" pathetic presence here in the US is some form of long to very long strategy that needs the addition of a legendary medical figure to curb?  Science alone, life-saving diagnostics and devices is not what the market is always looking for..especially when the detail is unable to " ...more

Ha. too much for you to read down to the second sentence in Dr.Kellum's introduction? Dr. Kellum’s appointment is effective March 1, 2021.  He will assume the full-time role of Chief Medical Officer at both Spectral and Dialco, where he will be responsible for leading all medical and scientific activities, clinical activities and scientific evaluation of all partnership opportunities ...more

Ha! Can't wait to see notices of resignation from all his other functions. That's just company PR. He will certainly not abandon his other prestigious positions to work full-time for little old Spectral. If he does and you see proof of it, I'll let you nag me for the rest of my stay on this board.

IMHO we certainly don't need him to resign from his other gigs, just so the he can put in his 40 hours and hang out by the water cooler with the other Spectral staff. He's there for two reasons only IMO: the credibility he lends the doors he can open i.e. the key peeps that he knows in certain key organizations He will be paid rather handsomely for that, but sobeit.  Even ...more

Well exactly, I am not saying he should work full-time for Spectral, just saying that that will not be the case, at all. + the credibility he lends (that's the main goal in my view and part of what I was agreeing to regarding hmmmmmm's post) the doors he can open i.e. the key peeps that he knows in certain key organizations (that's what I was alluding to with my "remains ...more

MM - if Dr Kellum was just in this role part time wouldn't he just be named an advisor of some sort? Why would they specifically call it a full time Chief Medical Officer if it weren't a full time position? maybe he is taking an extended sabbatical
