Excited about our new board member from Acasti ( ACST )

Filing has been a little slow as of late, so we've yet to see her introductory ( say it like JL, it's fun ) package of options filed, means they're busy ... very busy!  The recent 241K options to our CEO at 53 cents were issued on April 1, but took over 2 months to file, so I'm not concerned about Jan getting her options.

Here's why I'm personally excited about the new board member...on June 22nd ACST announced their financials and had a net loss of 19.7M and 17 cents per share all USD I believe.  The sweet part of the financials was that on Stockwatch the headlne read 2.9M USD spent on R&D NOT the large loss.  That is better for the shareholders in both my AND the market's opinion ...here is why... the stock moved from 59 pennies CAD up yesterday to 83 pennies CAD before closing at 72.  It looks to go higher this morning and is valued at about 50% higher as a company than EDT ...this likely because they don't have all those FDA approvals, phase 4 confirmatory trials and Baxter arrangements "weighing them down"

Another benefit is that Mackie has been their analyst just like us and in fact have put them UR ( under review - 2020 ) just like us too!  Our new board memeber appears to have the ability to navigate the markets really well and knows how to make the best of a tough situation.  Losing 17 cents per share and moving a share price up so meaningfully is a wonderful move for shareholders.  I hope she can share her recipe for success with our board members and if we are "lucky" she'll bring in one of Canada's top portfolio managers and have a nice EDT mention whether it be him directly or his son's "top pick"  Small world really, with ACST's CFO being the former CFO of Bioniche, the story feels even closer to home so we wait for the next move on the tiny bio chess bored!  I knew Canada was a small country, but with close to 40M people, your bio-tech industry feels like a tiny village ... almost like there is ONLY one Canadien investment banker in charge of ALL BIO-techs ....hmmm?? ; - )
