Personalized Medicine and Canadien great William Osler
I am a true historian in so many respects, sports, farming, medicine, mostly human interest stuff.
I've long admired the career of William Osler and remember a famous quote often attached to his name. "No two faces are the face and therefore no two bodies are the same and therefore they will not react in a similar fashion under the abnormal circunstances of disease" ( pardon me if I've incrrectly quoted a word or two, the message though identical to the late, great Dr. Osler ).
Fortunately cancer treatment has embraced the concept of personalized medicine as oncology has grown and become far more targeted than it was just a decade ago. In the area of critical care medicine and "sepsis" in particular we struggle to find new therapys. Specifically in the world of Endotoxemic Septic Shock we see a small company up in Canada making large strides globally and now under the watchful eye of Jeffrey Shuren and his team at the FDA. A great company and world class governing body to guide their journey towards not just approval, but SOC ( standard of care ) for those with Endotoxemic Septic Shock as a result of "translocation / leaky gut / gut dysbiosis etc..... The journey long, the payoff potentially large on so many fronts. May success reach us on so many levels!
Always do your own due diligence and "God Bless" our planet!
Only the best,
Thomas
