Ooodles of CASH for now, but waaay more Beech-bull ; - )

The company ended the third quarter of 2021 with cash of $10,923,000 compared with $5,807,000 cash on hand as of Dec. 31, 2020.

The nice thing about "stunted trial progress" is minimal burn ...soon they might be able to afford a webbed-site spectralist to update their invester presentation ( 3+ months stale / stall dated / coming soon )

I like the Beech Boy angle of threatening more INSIDER driven dilution ..BUT for me I'm focussed on the "accounting authorities" and just how "legit" the destuction of our greatest moment ( the 6.6M CAD handout with fully loaded redaction from Baxter ) is / was ...I'm on it like a bhaaad rash ...sumthin that often accompanies too much Beech exposure ; - )

Bon appy fiends ; - ) ... keep up the consistent "overburden" it is VERY telling ...but buy all means..try not to look too "amateurish"

And don't worry about the largest liability on their Balance Sheet. The current portion of "Contract Liabilities" and the Non-current portion of "Contract Liablities" is really ... ....Deferred Revenues from the first Baxter tranche ...another way to think of it is revenue that has yet to be recognized from Baxters first "non-refundable"  $ 5M USD payment ...more

Forgot to mention...that scary "contract  liability" number on that last Balance Sheet was $ 5.6M Like the monsters that used to be under my kids bed...nothing at all to worry about....since is is not money owed to anyone... it doesn't really exist IMO.

Not sure I know the accounting world.  But Mr Google is awfully good at pointing you to reading material if you ask him the right question.  Which I did when I saw the liability instead of great earnings.  Anyway, your summary seems right that it's really a fake liability just waiting to be called revenue when management wants it to be.  Which they seem to want to do in ...more

Thx AP So we could have as much as $ 17M + warrant/option exercising, less cash burn for Q4 and Q1 ...with no real liabilities to worry about. Can't imagine that the burn/Trial costs were that significant during those months that we were only enrolling 1 or 2 patients (H2 2021).  To be fair, there is the big salaries & perks and all (for a job well done) Maybe a spin-off or new ...more

Goodness Me AP- so you are saying that something appearing negative is actually a positive? Someone must inform them of this erroneous discrepancy. They would most certainly correct it immediately - if it were really, truly a valid error. Maximizing shareholder value is a core tenet, if not the core tenet of all pulic companies right?

Dom - why don't you go and ask Mr Google the question - read what he tells you - and then give us all your informed opinion?   Rather than trying to twist and turn what others say into your own interpretation.  I usually find those types have their own agenda.  What's yours?
Comment by Domino55 on Mar 16, 2022 5:08pm
That sounds complicated. I'm a logistics guy not an accountant. I'll stick to my observations. What's my agenda? In a nutshell, to cynically laugh in disgust as a shareholder of Spectral. Thats about it.
Comment by Accountprince on Mar 16, 2022 5:23pm
Isn't logistics complicated?  And when it screws up it results in supply shortages?  So tell us in your professional opinion if these supply shortages are real or just an excuse to raise prices artificially.  And are they telling us the truth that COVID has affected the ability to recruit patients?  Or is that just an excuse?  You logistics types should know ...more

You accountant types are short on irony aren't you? I promise I'll only engage in serious on-point discussion from here on out. As I'm sure the other five shareholders who post here will do as well. Promise- and yes there are serious supply chain impediments at the moment.

I guess you think these sarcastic comments are funny, or helpful, or somehow add to the conversation? They don't add anything. We all come here for news and insights- riddles and whining are just clutter.

Yes Hmmmm. This board was so welll adjusted and peaceful before I showed up. A home of sharing and informative discourse. Before I swung by, I believe you ( and most posters here) were regularly accused of being some type of double agent, insidious, undermining,  duplicitous Beachboy basher, were you not? In fact I think that is the prevailing accusation you wear. But yes, I'll try and ...more
