Spectral Medical Inc > I want to be a cheerleader for this company but…

I want to be a cheerleader for this company but…

Pure frustration is getting the better of me. Been in it prior to the 2016 debacle but happy to see a lot of positives since.

However, much of my frustration is with the zero promotion from the company. That said, do people in the biotech industry talk. If this company has 'the goods' wouldn't other companies and biotechs hear about it, share it, and the excitement get the share price moving upward?

If we are inches away from the finish line and from what has been hinted, it should be positive news, why is it bouncing around mid 50s-60s? This is what gets me nervous. If it is good, how is it not getting out there by word of mouth within the industry participants.

Apologies for the negative but I have very little trust with this company's management team which makes it hard to want to be joyous or content. The lows very much outweigh the highs with this stock in both share price and emotions.

Frustrated!

Sounds like Dr. Phillip P Chan is more your type of CEO.  I wonder how that's working out for CTSO investors lately?  I haven't bothered to look because I know that self promotion is a shallow man's way to fake it until you make it type of mentality, and that's just not for me.  If that's what your into, go for it.  I'm more of a Lionel Messi type guy ...more

Not looking for reverse splits, Bluej, looking for reasoning as to why Spectral is touted as a 1.40 plus fair market value and we bounce in the 50-60 cent range. Illegal or not, don't industry insiders talk and wouldn't something push the share price up if it had 'the goods'?  I think that is a fair long term shareholder question. Also,  with your confidence in ...more

It is a fair question and I shouldn't have been snarky in my reply.  I think one of the main reason for our slugish stock price, is as you said, the "debacle" of the 2016 Euphrates results.  That experience will always linger in investors minds because it was very frustrating to put it mildly.  It was unfortunate that Spectral didn't come to the realization at the ...more

Good post BlueJay, you made me go to the way back machine to see if we can learn anything from the run up in 2016. Spectral 2016:   Jan 11   Announce 400 of 446 were enrolled (90%)    SharePrice .79   Jan 12  A very favorable $2.50 target analysis by Mackie Research Capital Corp. (who coincidently also underwrote Spectral financing (with Cormark)) ...more

I hear/share your frustration Geery. I think the answer is that the " powers that be" never wanted any attention on this almost private company. Evidence, NO spotlight in the most important US market where eventually 95% of their sales will come from. No spotlight = low SP.  While there has been ( I would argue) minimal promotion to the medical community, there has been ...more

I think this is fair. My worry is these guys over estimating the value of what they hold and being disappointed with the long awaited "reward “
