European Commission Decision on Carlye/Vantive Merger

If I'm reading this correctly the EC was notified about the prospective Carlye/Vantive merger on 10Oct24 and will make their decision to allow or disallow (provisionally) by 26Nov24.

I had completely forgoten that they also needed EU approval and not just FTC approval.  Thank you for pointing this out, and bringing the receipts to boot!  I am of the opinion that this is a regulatory rubber stamp moment for the CG/Vantive deal, as I see zero potential for this deal to reduce market competition.  This deal isn't like when Fresenius took over NxStage, and ...more

I agree. i can't imagine the Europeans being bothered by a change in ownership from a Division of much larger entity, to an independently owned one... both headquartered in the far off land of America ( even if all three entities do business in Europe )  It's really more of a de-monopolization  More of a necessary formality IMO  MM PS I wonder if Spectral will ...more
