Bitcoin

I trust you all saw ECB President Christine Lagarde's comments about Bitcoin.  Calling it highly speculative, and in need of serious regulation.  Since she is the number two in the western world, or perhaps tied for first with Powell, as far as banking stuff goes, I would think her words carry weight.  I would then think that serious regulation is soon to follow.  Lots of commentators have said regulation will be the end of Bitcoin.  
You all probably also saw the thing about the poor guy who forgot his Bitcoin password.  And he can't get at his $200 million.  I know all about forgetting passwords.  But then you just get them to send you a text message or something.  I guess with Bitcoin it isn't so simple.  Seems if he can't  guess right in his final two tries, the money will disappear into ,uh, where it came from I guess , which was no where.  It was nothing and becomes nothing again.

Ronnie, Ha - as a work related (IT) hobby i mined some BTC many years ago mostly because of the cool tech part about being able to generate something with a gpu that you could translate into $$$.  One could also have some pot ExpressPost to them for a lot of BTC's (or so i heard).   I was amazed to sell some for ~$10 - i had mined them a while before that and it was something like a ...more
