...wins the race
slow - we have all experienced.
Steady... I'm hard pressed to find a miner than delivers at or exceeding expectations so consistently. Year after year, quarter after quarter.
Seems to be, today at least temporarily, a feeling that inflation is licked. So inevitably a FED pivot is predicted. Down goes the dollar and up goes everything else including gold.
while I'm not anywhere near convinced the worst is over on inflation, I do have some hope that the negative correlation between the dollar and gold will be broken soon, if not already.
In other words, a shift in sentiment towards gold and gold equities seems to have begun even a few days ago. It's starting with short covering in many gold equities including EDV
So, if you're going to buy a gold miner, you might as well buy one that has (1) kept costs under control ( relatively low AISC), (2) is generating cash - so much so that they can eliminate the last of their debt, (3) all while bringing on new mines, and (4) executing on buybacks and (5) paying dividends.
Many hares may pass temporarily, but I'm confident that EDV will win, place or show in the endgame. It's always about long term cash flow generation and not getting caught needing to raise $ in bad markets or getting over indebted along the way. EDC seems to be doing everything right
