It may be getting a little bit expensive to privatze at this point.  Thoughts?

It's not getting privatized
Comment by Thor16 on Nov 07, 2024 6:44am
May I ask why you think that?
Comment by Method on Nov 07, 2024 8:50pm
There are no benefits to the family only negatives. I do think they want to close the discount though.
Comment by Thor16 on Nov 07, 2024 9:36pm
How else would they close the discount?
Comment by Method on Nov 09, 2024 10:16pm
Buying back stock, paying special dividends and increasing the regular dividend.
Comment by Thor16 on Nov 10, 2024 8:23am
Fair, however reducing the public float and liquidity to almost nothing virtually guarantees the discount will always remain substantial, will it not?
Comment by Method on Nov 10, 2024 2:53pm
Perhaps but I think the rules of supply and demand apply and there won't be much supply under a certain discount. I know I'm unlikely to sell anymore unless the discount is much smaller.

With a very tight and discounted float the share buyback opportunity decreases so my guess is we start to see larger regular dividend increases and eventually the higher/growing div yield will push the stock up and shrink the valuation gap.
