Proterra has filed Chapter 11

Why should that matter to Electrovaya.  Well Proterra has been supplying batteries to VMC.   Electrovaya has a supply agreement with VMC as a second source.  Maybe VMC will place a truck battery order soon.  They are certainly scaling up people to supply someone!

In the past Electrovaya has not been able to produce the Hi Voltage battery packs in the quantity that VMC would have to have.  That is changing.  Electrovaya is now hiring production and staff for the Hi Voltage battery line which will be small to start.  Projections are that volume will increase as Jamestown comes on line.  That falls in line with Electrovaya's policy of ...more
