Toyota Material Handling electrification

Listen to this video by Jennifer Lupo from TMH/Raymond regarding the new R&D center in Rochester N.Y.  She states it is about electrification of TMH vehicles. So we have confirmation that TMH is converting their ICE vehicles to electric. This is huge for Electrovaya.   Toyota Material Handling North America Plans Expansion in Greater Rochester, NY – Greater Rochester Enterprise (rochesterbiz.com)  The electrification conversation starts at 1:30.

I believe they will address this in a round about way and I think they already have. There seems to be a reluctance by Toyota to just come out and state they are using Electrovaya's batteries. In their press release regarding the new supply aggreement with Raymond and a new "affiliated large OEM" it's obvious, at least to me that the OEM is Toyota Material Handling.   ...more

When Toyota announced the R&D Center in the Rochester, NY area I thought it was for Energy Storage-- ESS systems.  Raymond has developed one and also most likely could use some enhancements.  It does make sense that it would also be used for material handling.  Toyota has announced a new addition to their existing manufacturing site in Columbus, Indiana.  They will be ...more
