The $2 seems disconnected from any real usage choice because I have no say in whether or not the blended gas reaches my household (i.e. I could decline to pay the $2 yet still receive blended gas). It seems better that the Ontario government adjust the regulated rates to cover any additional costs of the RNG.

I have to agree with you Ticker on this one.  It feels like having a cashier at the grocery store asking for a donation when you are checking out....but on an ongoing basis. Maybe that is why ENB is expecting so few participants over 5 years from the millions of customers that the company serves in Ontario. ENB is typically on top of pretty much everything they publish.  In this case,

I don't care how many ' Likes' or ' Subscribers ' enroll in OpUp program. What I Do Like as an ENB shareholder is the Message. Brilliant Timing. Good optics. Politically, we are at a critical juncture today, a perception horizon.  New York State pension fund is divesting from Canadian Oil Sands projects for this very reason. Cheers

Another thought -- it may be that discussions about RNG rate adjustments with the current Ontario government took place but went nowhere. .
