CIBC upgrade $58 CAD
November 21, 2021
"Our Thoughts Heading Into The CER Decision Our Conclusion While the Canadian Mainline Contracting application is one of the most significant tolling matters the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) has considered in almost a decade, we believe the range of potential outcomes for the company is narrower than many investors realize. On that basis, we believe investors can take advantage of the recent selloff and buy Enbridge stock despite the uncertainty, as we think the risk from the CER decision may be partly offset by the possibility of share repurchases being announced at Enbridge’s investor day on December 7. We reiterate our Outperformer rating and $58 DCF-based price target."

Fiddy I re-iterate yet again my ENB price target of $60. The question is when it gets there, what are you gonna do... buy, sell, or hold?

Just to clarify... by buy I mean continue to drip (I assume you've been dripping all along?).

AUTO - I'll cross that bridge if and when we get to it. Let's at least get by the big ruling Friday and see how that goes first. We might be under Fiddy again if Friday doesn't go as planned... AUTO - The fiddy 8 dollar price target was issued before news of the latest variant came out. With the new variant being a HUGE unknown, the 58 dollar price target means nothing. Fiddy Every cv variant is a huge unkown. Maybe the earth will stop spinning. Maybe all human activity will grind to a permanent halt (but probably not) I am happy to continue to collect (drip) ENB below 60. Shares collected below 45 I will sell above 50. At 60 the yield drops to ~5.5% and I will stop dripping. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it.

Unfortunately, I think we will go lower for a better entry point.

Share repurchases would be prudent at this price level. Buy shares back now then increase the dividend at the next Q4 EOY ER and you do not have to pay the increased dividend on the cancelled shares. Good plan.
