So Fiddy, what's going on? How low can it go?  Are you buying? I have a few shitty orders and might get lucky.

SILKOS - I have some cash and it's  tempting to buy some more.  However, at the rate this thing is dropping I'll probably not consider it until she's at 45.  Perhaps that will be this week.... Hey Fiddy Good old ENB and all its drama. I'm quite surprised you'd think about actually buying more. As yow know, I'm a firm believer in having a bit of diversification. If you like the pipes, I'd be buying TRP over ENB at this point. If you want a different sector, I'd be buying EMA. It is pretty steady eddy and has a great 4.5% yield and grows their divy every year. I' ...more

Hey Sarge, Glad to see that you're still around and posting.  I had been considering swapping my ENB position to my TRP position for some time.  I should have done it right before the last dividend was paid, but I got sick for a couple weeks and missed that opportunity.  Seeing your post now, I think I'll swap out half my position for TRP/EMA, as ENB can't seem to ...more

Hey Walt Always nice to hear from you. I hope all ia going well with your investments and life in general. All is top-shelf out this way. The old annual dividend income continues to grow and I'm expecting some big increases from our 4 banks this week (BMO,BNS,RY,TD). Just to be clear, I'm still totally fine with keeping our full position in ENB. ENB is a bit of a drama queen but I think ...more

Thanks, Sarge--glad to hear all is well.  I actually have zero TRP exposure, so for me the move is more about diversifying. I know everyone says that what is happening to ENB is "just noise" and that it will recover "eventually", but I've been in the stock for the better part of a decade and, other than the dividend, I don't really know why I'm in it.  Yes ...more

WALTER - "Frustrating" is an understatement when it comes to ENB. Stupid question:  if you are "going to" sell 2/3rds of your stock, surely you aren't going to sell it at 48, when you didn't sell it at 54, are you ? Hey Walt Interesting on holding ENB for so long. It really has been a rough one over a 10 year period. The Spectra take-over really caused a lot of pain for quite a while. As I've mentioned, we got into ENB indirectly in Sept, 2018 with the ENF roll-up. We did really well with ENF and the timing for the roll-up was quite good as we got into ENB at 44.44 and have added since for an average ...more

Hey Fiddy/Sarge, Thanks, yes, I regret missing $54.00 but sold 1/3rd this morning and went into TRP immediately.  I didn't get to my fill price on ENB or the other 1/3rd that is headed to EMA, so I'll take Sarge's advice and wait a bit... I bought my initial position in 2012, and then some more right before the Spectra deal in 2015-2016, which I think messed up the share price ...more

WALTER - You hit the nail on the head when you stated "ENB can't seem to avoid some sort of bad news for long enough to allow the stock to sustain any sort of rally".  I coudln't have said it better myself.  ENB is a decent company, it's just a shame that the perpetual stream of $hitty news seems to be never ending.  It's like the BC floods, just when one ...more

TRP is no stranger to drama and does not pay nearly as well. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-transcanada-keystone-idUSKBN0UK2JG20160107 Go Enbridge! ;-)

So much for the "business as usual" analogy in regards to the CER decision eh ?  The market sure didn't see it that way today..... Quin wrote:"TRP is no stranger to drama and does not pay nearly as well. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-transcanada-keystone-idUSKBN0UK2JG20160107 Go Enbridge! ;-)"

The "business as usual" "analogy" will prove itself out at the next ER and give it all back and then some when the revenues come rolling in yet again.  Until then longs will be getting paid on December 1 and dripped for more at this lower share price soon after. Go Enbridge! ;-)

Hey Sarge, I was thinking about BCE as well.  Decent yield with a hell of a lot less drama than Enbridge ! Sarge wrote:"Hey Fiddy Good old ENB and all its drama.
