SILKOS - You are right.  Ontario is close to vaccinating 90 % of it's eligible population.  Vaccines however don't prevent you from catching Covid, they just decrease your chances of ending up in hospital with a tube rammed down your gullet to help you breath.   Vaccinating the animals is also a fantastic idea, such a program is already underway at the Toronto zoo

You're missing the point. Kids' immune system fights COVID successfully. Check how many children have been / are in ICU Canada wide due to COVID.  Leave the kids out the vaccination ratio in kids was 20% after a few days only. COVID seems to be in regression. I hope you invested massivelly against the omicron crash and now you are happy happy happy.

SILKOS - It's true that kids handle Covid better than adults, but the problem is they can still pass it on to those adults. That my friend IS the point.  Kids need to be vaccinated, full stop. I'm hoping Omicron is just media hype but it's still WAAAAAY to early to make that call definitively. Sure would be nice to see ENB north of fiddy again, and HOLD that level.  Easier

This is getting ridiculous. Both vaccinated and unvaccinated population can get the virus. Regardless of age. Regardless the vaccination status. I just posted today's results that shows a 50% infection ratio in both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. I think we should start vaccinating the birds, bugs and fish. Actually all vertebrates. But double vaccinated people will ot die or get very ill if they ae COVID positive. Both a man wearing a bullet proof vest and a man not wearing a bullet proof vest can get shot, but the one wearing the vest will not get injuted or killed.

SILKOS - Yes, both vaccinated and un-vaccinated can catch Covid.  As i mentioned earlier, the big difference is the hospitilization rate being MUCH higher in the un-vaccinated. So the fact that 50% of infected came from 3 700 000 unvaccinated people (10%) and 50% of infected came from 33 300 000 vaccinated people (90%) isn't relevent?   You don't understand statistics?

There is no info that there are kids in the ICU otherwise it will be all over the media. At the rate it's going, kids vaccination campaign will be declared a success very soon. When's the last time you went to a restaurant? Where do you eat out at Chucky Cheese? Tables are set 6 feet apart, masks are off. If you are vaccinated or not, you can still get infected. Adult or Child. Where do you see restaurants full of kids? Parents are over protective these times. Unless you are eating at the school cafeteria?
