Carbon Tax is inflation creator, nothin else

Those trading carbon emissions is a speculation and creating inflation  all around, 60% inflation is carbon tax

Absolutely true. The air from China will be here in 2-3 days and from the U.S. in one. Between them, they have 1100 coal fire power plants. The closest is in Michigan. Our efforts are virtually in vain at a huge cost to consumers. Just a bad joke and bad policy. GLTA

Actually they think that you right wing morons still believe that climate change is all a farce because it still gets cold outside in the winter.   It doesn't really matter what they or you think.  Their guy is still in charge and your guys are still warming the bench and looking for a captain to steer the ship Oh yeah,  Go Enbridge! ;-).

It's not about liberals or conservatives, just a point that this tax does not do any good to the climate but it does to  inflation on every product from  gas bill to salad production ,

Every O&G producer has an ESG agenda that addresses their carbon footprint.  If you believe that excessive CO2 in the atmosphere is detrimental to climate change then the carbon tax  and its associated policies are working. If you don't then you have discarded the generally accepted scientific consensus as is your right but the Government and the people who voted for them ...more

But it could, if implemented sensibly. (1) Subject all imports to the carbon tax. (2) Drop the "Climate Action Initiative" idea; it's useless. (3) Publish emissions carbon taxes for all businesses taxed, so that consumers can identify the cleaner choices among them and buy accordingly (if they wish). Ideally, competing businesses will drive down emissions so that they are able to ...more

Correction below:  "emissions and carbon taxes".

What you are proposing sounds very much like the carbon trading scheme that was offered up p instead of a carbon tax.  Provincial Governments would have to opt in for such a scheme and then would be free to implement some in not all of the measures you suggested. Quebec opted in and I believe has the lowest cost of carbon per tonne levied. https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/randall ...more

Actually it is also another way of getting more money from those who earn income, so the inmates who are in charge of the insane assylum in Ottawa can waste it, on some useless social experiment. Climate change ? Yes Ottawa was under 250 feey of ice 12000 years ago. Then the ice cover melted, that is how we have the Great Lakes, in North America. THAT WAS CLIMATE CHANGE!  How many vehicles ...more

Should be ASYLUM. (must be catching)

You see?  This idiot thinks it isn't real.  From a guy that thinks a Russian that can't speak fluent english was the resident KGB spy in London.  I shouldn't really expect progressive thinking from a guy that still calls them flying contraptions aeroplanes. Oh yeah, Go Enbridge! ;-)
