The "good guy with the gun" in Buffalo had the wrong ammo unfortunately.  In the Buffalo case, body armour piercing bullets were required.  Along with the appropriate ammunition, more "good guys with guns" could have easily neutralized this threat.  What's better than a good guy with a gun ?  Yup, that's right, MULTIPLE good guys with guns ! If that were true, if gun ownership were a deterrent to crime, the US would be one of the safest places on earth. I think we can agree that although the idea appears logical at first, in reality it doesn't work.  More guns means more people equipped to commit crimes. More people equipped to commit suicide.
