It seems crazy to sell an interest in a pipeline. Look at the enviromental nonsense holding up TMX and the hoops TRP has had to go through for the coastal gas pipeline. 

After Poilirvre outlaws men in girls swimming change rooms hopefully  he can remove the shackles from the oil and gas industry.

ENB is trading assets from Canada to the States and from pipes to distribution In doing so, ENB's future cash flows from AUM become more predictable and secure and its organic growth opportunities expand.  Pretty straight forward.

In a zero emission world RNG is going to be huge. When methane emissions are captured from waste facilities not only are emissions reduced or eliminated but marketable product is produced. The electricity grid and batteries can only rage us so far. RNG and blue hydrogen will  e required to pick up the slack.

Albatross...yep for sure...it is already happening - take a look at what WM and GFL are already doing. WM is implementing a billion dollar plan to produce enough RNG to produce electricty for thousands of homes near its landfills and fuel its truck fleet. The plan is to double FCF over the next 5 years.  For a company of this size, this is a big deal. GFL has an agreement with ENB to ship
