I hope for all the longs you turn out to be right. Personally, I am happy watching from the sidelines. After the last release and guidance I was starting to actually think about getting back into ENB as I liked the direction and strategy they laid out. They also seemed to be ramping down the confrontation. That is now off the table. We shall see in a few months what the new CEO is actually up to ...more

The timing is off for sure... I don't like they did this, they had enough in the pipe as it was. And they could of used extra cash to purchase more dividends.  But ENB will survive. The market doesn't like it. Share dilution and debt with the global economy teetering on a potential downturn. The good news is that gas (primarily used for heating, power) is one of the last things ...more

On the other hand: Scientists blame ever-warming human-caused climate change on the burning of coal, oil and natural gas.Scientists have used tree rings, ice cores and other proxies to estimate that temperatures are now warmer than they have been in about 120,000 years. The world has been warmer before, but that was prior to human civilisation, seas were much higher and the poles were not icy.

Yes, Trudeau the lesser has been a big disappointment for many. As for destroying the energy sector, I think most energy executives now agree on the need for change and a cleaner future for the world. Australia and Korea lead China in coal emmisions per capita. China leads the world in renewable energy development while also leading the world in building coal and nuclear power plants.

You must be using Sarcasm , in regards as to how destructive Trudeau has been to the Canadian energy sector, right ? Trudeau blocked the Keystone XL pipeline , the Energy East pipeline , impossed enough restrictions on the Trans Mountain pipeline that free enterprise had to abandon the project. He made pipeline construction , next to impossible , in Canada , and imposed layers of carbon taxes and ...more

Nice post wkrpradio, you put a lot of energy into that post and stated clearly your views on the subject. Unfortunately,  you are completly wrong, as is typical of your ilk.The Keystone XL was not blocked by Trudeau but by an executive order from Joe Biden on Jan.20th, 2021. And perhaps you can name just one pipeline Harper got built, I'll give you a clue, ZERO. How many pipleines has ...more

Thanks for clarifying KerBer! I'd remind wkrpradio too that Canadians chose Trudeau over Harper in 2015 in part because Harper ignored the environmental concerns of most of the population. It is proving difficult to find that sweet spot between energy interests and climate change commitments that the entire world has made. A challenge to be sure but a neccesity IMO.

So Donwaan, every time you pay carbon tax on wind and water generated electricity added to your "hydro" bill, just get down on your knees, and give thanks to the man whose party is on life support by the NDP. and bent on making our country one of the "have not's" with a sub-par productivity. They say "ignorance is bliss". Yes Sir, it seems like so. We all know ...more

(apologies for the long answer) China has made ambitious plans to bring its total installed capacity of wind and solar power to over 1,200 gigawatts (GW) by 2030 to support the countrys 2060 carbon-neutral goal. With 757GW of wind and solar already operating, and an additional 750GW in the pipeline, Chinas 2030 target will be met five years ahead of schedule, according to Global Energy Monitor ...more

Donwaan, you are wasting yout time answering climate deniers but we have to keep them honest or else they will continue to propagate  their lies, half truths and outright bull$hit. Why anyone would object to cleaning up the air we breath is a puzzle but some people will swallow any rubbish the oil barons feed them.

Geez, how do people like bttmfisher even manage to get dressed in the morning?  "So Donwaan, every time you pay carbon tax on wind and water generated electricity added to your "hydro" bill, just get down on your knees, and give thanks to the man whose party is on life support by the NDP" A carbon tax ( I'm writing this slowly bttmfisher, because I understand you ...more

"He refused both Germany and Japan's request to purchase Canadian LNG"   This is the typical right wing misinformation and propaganda plaguing our society. Trudeau never refused these requests. Germany pulled out because they realized Canada could not build a LNG facility within the time frame that they need.  Just look at the LNG facility in Kitimat as an example ...more

Typical Boshevik nonsense.  Spin all of  your delusions to your fellow Marxists but that does little to change the facts. Go Woke and Go Broke. FJB.

The biggest factor that causes heating or cooling on our planet is the sun. Hands down. CO2 is a life giving gas. Life would not exist without it. Trees stop photosynthesis at 120ppm CO2.. the two most significant extinction events this planet faced were likely a combination of low CO2 and rapid solar output dips (they aren't sure why the solar output dipped), maybe all the trees died ...more

No training a simple free thinker that has read a lot of different views on the topic. I agree with you that there is an element of unknown we are walking into. The bitter cold is just as deadly, if not more deadly than the noxious heat. I am 100% supportive of efficiency and fossil fuel weaning and have a solar panel set up and looking into geothermal heating etc.. it's just there's a ...more
