Puzzling move to say the least, since both Woodside and Chevron cancelled the LNG export project this line was going to supply natgas to. And the Pacific Trail pipeline passes through Wet’suwet’en territory to boot. Does ENB really expect them to say a-okay after the chit TRP's CGL pipeline has gone through?

Already a-okayed "Enbridge also inherited benefits agreements with 16 First Nations along the route of the pipeline that formed the First Nations Limited Partnership (FNLP) in support of the project."

You and Autofocus are right about that. Here I was thinking he had not read enough of the article and It was me who hadn't taken it all in. That sure is a lot of chiefs to appease, I am having trouble finding a map that shows how much territory the Wet'suwet'en actually control. You wouldn't have a link to one would you?

We'll find out in the end how much they paid for this. I think the value is the FNLP support toward the project (especially Wet’suwet’en - who are known for fighting all pipelines). Nothing will come out of it in the near future (5-10y) considering the current political environment and anti pipeline movement but I am sure ENB will make a good buck out of this when time comes.
