407 Toll road

I view the Enbridge business model as a toll road much like the 407 in Ontario or the turnpikes in the US.
Enb does not produce petroleum poducts they just transport them for the producers.
Almost all of the contracts with the producers are take or pay.
Very solid ENB business model.
Nice dividend.
I would like to see the P/E ratio improved though.

Union Gas Co did produce natural gas in Ontario from numerous wells, some in Lake Erie, In 2017 Union Gas( which had 1.5 million costumers) amalgamated with Enbridge. I was a Union Gas Co's customer myself. Interestingly Pembina also was involved in natural gas in southern Ontario 20 years ago, but their job sites were abandonned for some reason. I suspect some of the Union's gas wells are

Actually in tnhe 1980s the total number of gas wells on Lake Erie exceeded 1180.  500 of those were on the Canadian side of the international border between Canada and the US. There is oil under that lake, but there was a moratorium agains drilling for it for decades .
