As for ENB itself....The deal they made to buy the NG utilities and reduce the impact of oil on the bottom line makes a lot of sense. In the shorter run, the problem for ENB is that the acquisitions had a lot of short term debt that will have to financed. At the time of the purchase, I posted on the ENB site that it seems like ENB was expecting/gambling on interest rate reductions in the US before the deal is closed later this year. Right now the odds of that happening aren't as good as they were back then and I think this is weighing on the SP of ENB. Longer run, this is not likely be a problem as the purchases are clearly accretive to earnings.
In the meantime, I have bought more of a split which is actually trading at at a discount to NAV.
