Management not proactive. No debt ,lots of cash ,incredible cash flow and one month in from having announced a normal course issuer bid and no  shares purchased 
Some entity will see how cheap this is .

Management wont know what hit them. No worries .. they can collect CERB and UI..lol

The board is full of low risk mindset accountants that are waiting out their retirement bonuses including the vp and ceo. They made a lot of mistakes prior to 2014 with some "deals" and instead of repeating those pre 2014 mistakes in the Trudeau era, they've just managed the downturn with what they have which has turned the company into a debt free company with cash in hand.

That would be a mistake for current shareholders. There is far more upside to come and a possible dividend reinstatement if things start heading in the right direction in COVID-world.

I remembered a press release from ESN in 2018 (i think) along the lines of "We will not pay a dividend while debt to EBITDA is above 3x" So ESN lets get it reinstated

Would they target a company like SDI stampede drilling ltd. Do they have synergies?

Esn once had a fleet of service rigs, which was a mistake I don't think they'll make another with drilling rigs.
