Will Kilgore ever become a mine? Habitat vs mining article

There are a number of exploration companies in Idaho, including Liberty Gold and Integra. It seems to me the problem with an open pit mining in Kilgore is real one as per the article.  Remember that out of thousand of mining projects only few become mines at the end.  May be that is why Otis agreed to sell Kilgore so cheap.  Let's face it, cyanide open pit mining sucks especially after you see Kilgore prictine habitat.

In all fairness, Exn management is on record that they need to deal with environmental regulations first.  I see this issue litigated in the US court system for ever.

Liberty Gold (T.LGD) and Integra (V.ITR) are advanced exlorers in Idaho with a MC double and quadriple of the one of Exn. I do not own shares of Liberty and Integra, essentially thinking that owning Exn with its Kilgore project will provide me with exposure to mining in Idaho. At least my thinking was aligned with how Exn management presented Kilgore as the next priority throwing huge NPV numbers ...more

Idaho is a mining friendly state !! famous for Silver as well . Idaho gives support for mining operations for example with a office to deal with state vs federal law`s ect. There are plenty companys operating in Idaho, a better example to compare it with Kilgore at this stage is Revival Gold imo they are also in PEA stage but more advanced as Otis was . EXN got a smal interest in Revival as Otis ...more

We will see in the near term the new drill plan, and overall i guess the fact that this is a new project gives EXN the chance by using best practises to build a modern sustaining mine with less as possible impact to the enviroment. Finally you dont have to deal with first nations or rare animals ect like you have to do in Alaska or even BC. Oliver, Kilgore is the grizzly county.  We are ...more

First of all i must say that we have only ONE EARTH no doubt ! and it is important to protect the environment as much as possible !! . But we all need on the other hand metall`s and from my point of view is much better to mine them in the so called first world with the best practices  instead to "export" our problems to the so called "third world " and enjoy to buy our ...more

Oliver, never understood why Germans nixed nuclear energy, which to me is a sort of a green technology.   Exn has future, but to me it is in exploring Platosa and finding the next Elephant zones there.  We have a 2 kilometer corridor north of the existing mine in Platosa with at least three high prospect zones that have never been systematically explored (see page 9 of Exn ...more

The good thing is  that we have Platosa, Kilgore, Silver City and Oakley so i hope by the end of the year we see what we can expect for the future.
