Had an interesting talk with a friend who is a big fan of the technology. He's an electrical engineer who worked with motors and drives. He says the technology is interesting in that it can change the number of poles and thereby generate more torque at low speeds. However, I still don't see the business case. Where are the applications that should be tested right now i.e. garbage trucks
