When you dig deeper....

Yesterday's trading patterns although a “yawner” it still provided a window into what has been taking place over the last 3 weeks +/-.

Yesterday TD Securities accounted for 24,804 shares traded yesterday OUT OF 41,234 shares traded on the day or 60.15% of all trades.

When you dig deeper, you find that 7,100 shares were bot and sold for their own account, 4,369 shares sold outright and 6,545 net buys - leaving them net long on the day 2,186 shares.

This behavior has been repeated consistently not only by TD but other Canadian Investment Banks.

what is this an indication of...is it manipulation of some sort? Shorting behavior? Seems weird that the same people are buying and selling to themselves...I have no idea as an investment rookie...?

If you trade through RBC and sell 5000 shares and I trade through RBC and buy them it will appear as RBC selling 5k and RBC buying 5k it means nothing
