AI?

Just to pick up on a point SIMPLICITI1 made in his/her second last point, "now if EXRO decided to add some AI component to the lexicon of term to describe what it does", I pose this question; is this not the essence of what the CD and BMS systems do?  Telling an electric motor or battery how to behave under dynamic situations and especially if these two technologies learn to work in concert.

What exactly is it that defines artificial intelligence?

In the very early days, after Sue joined Exro, the term "artificial intelligence" was used in reference to the coil driver. It's not clear who initiated it, but the term was not used for long and has not reappeared. AI uses software that attempts to emulate the pattern recognition capability of the human brain when scanning large quantities of data. AI "learns" by doing ...more

Yes, CD driven electrical motors, as they exist today, respond to an operator.  Can you imagine what data sets an intelligent CD could tap into?  For example, road conditions and terrain data to alter it's behaviour for autonomous driving. These are just some wild thoughts. best regards the fourth
