The way institutional investor's think

Today's BB has lots of agonizing about Exro's share price. Yes, I agonize along with you. But I think the SP is being limited by the way institutional investor's think. They want to see concrete results. They want some real production, some actual sales, some results to show the enterprise is actually performing. No big investments in mere storytelling. If the SP is not performing, the institutions go elsewhere; they have lots of previously analyzed alternatives to consider. The traders’ income is determined by month-to-month successful trades, not by longer term thinking. But you already know this stuff.

In the MarketCall that Gates referenced (thanks BTW), Bruce Campbell referred to Exro’s 5-year plan, something I had not heard mentioned before. He said StoneCastle Investments has a position and expect the SP to take off when product starts to be delivered. I think Exro understands that as well, and that explains a lot about their approach to financing and Press Releases. They know the word is already out there, they see orders coming in, they’re focussed on ramping up production and delivering. Remember Covid?  Recall the supply chain issues? Taking everything into consideration, I think Exro’s doing really well. I’m hangin’ in and anticipate big things. Go Exro!

fleetwood,  A very good post IMHO. Thanks for that.  If I may, I would like to expand a little further, by stating that like EXRO, the industries they serve also think 5 years out (at least). Every EV we see on the road today was designed between 5 and ten years ago. This of course means that the technology that EXRO is bringing to market is somewhere between 3 and 36 months from the ...more

Simp1 ,   A FANCY AGM ? C'mon!!  Have you ever attended any company's AGM ?  I wasn't there but there was nothing FANCY about people who did attend and the trouble they took including driving time to get some answers.  Others here were in attendance and I'm sure you'll hear their feedback

Ace,  Quite a few.  An advantage of having retired nearly 20 years now As per the notice the following business was to be conducted at the AGM in Vancouver: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General and Special Meeting (the “Meeting”) of shareholders of Exro Technologies Inc. (“Exro” or the “Company”) will be held at Suite 1700, 666 Burrard Street, Vancouver, BC V6C 2X8, on Friday ...more

That's all great and fine and great research SIM however meeting people in person and looking for non verbal cues is sometimes just as important as what is discussed John projected the enthusiasm of a dead horse . Zero enthusiasm for the company and or even bothering to be there or what his role was. So yea why bother showing up that's your take.  It was great to have met and having a ...more

Exrower,  As I stated, there is significant benefit to sharing ideas face to face with other investors and occasionally when listening to or chatting with management attendees. I may attend when/if they decide to host in Calgary or post Nasdaq in Mesa.  I fully expect that over time there will be changes within the management team and structure. I think Sue is great! No question there, ...more

First off I have been to several AGM's held at corporate lawyers offices. This is not Birkshire Hathaway for goodness sake. It appears to me a few who did travel to Vancouver were hoping to ask questions, gather inside information. AGM is not a platform to communicate updates to shareholders, furthermore if they have material information it must be communicated to the markets as outlined ...more

Simp , I'm well aware and have attended plenty of micro-cap AGM's as you have as well and yes am aware of the highlighted sections...   Agreed , wasn't worth booking a flight to attend.  I could smell the disjointed AGM a mile away. Doesn't change the resolve though.   But I'm glad to hear that you and I and other shareholders will finally meet at ...more
