We are seeking a Sample Assembly Squad team member that is able to work with others in a Lab environment whilst maintaining the highest quality standards during the build process. A flexible attitude is essential, as working requirements may vary. The ability to be self-driven and use PC skills in order to complete the required documentation is also essential.

The Sample Assembly Squad team member will work within an ESD compliant environment with other team members to manually assemble product by following pre-defined assembly steps as laid out by the Exro Engineering team. The majority of the work involved in assembling the finished product includes handling PCB’s, manually soldering connections, dispensing adhesives and other assembly operations as defined in the Exro AWI and Traveller documents. To ensure the highest possible quality standards, meticulous attention to detail, accurate record keeping, manual dexterity and good hand to eye co-ordination are required. Training will be provided as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manual soldering, material dispensing, component placement

• Inspecting to IPC-A-610 standard

• Completion of assembly documentation

• Swift communication with Team Leader to highlight any potential areas of concern

  • Flexibility to work different shift patterns if and when required.

JU   That job description mentions shift work.  5 days a week is NOT shift work, common sense tells me Exro is gearing up to run shifts... the backlog of orders MUST be big!!

Keep in Mind   Sue has said they often hire multiple candidates for some positions posted. They could possibly need a crew of folks for these jobs.

I think you will find the following is contained in a number of Calgary based job descriptions "Flexibility to work different shift patterns if and when required." Hiring someone that does not have that flexibility would be problematic down the road, period. Must be included in the Job Description in advance of hiring and implementation.
