The EV Graveyard

At the Fully Charged expo in Vancouver, a panel of pundits was asked to identify which EV OEM was most likely to end up in the EV graveyard by 2030.  Sandy Munro's answer is given at Min 25:18 of the link, and it might surprise you....Volkswagon.

His argument was that the unions own a big piece of the company and that they are not receptive to new technology that could result in job losses.

He used giga casting as an example.  But he just as well could have cited software.  VW's CEO reportedly was fired last year because of his failure to deal with the union and software issues.

Perhaps Sandy was being facetious. But he brings home a point.  OEMs can't disregard the unions when making investment decisions.
