Good Post from (Xronly)

VW’s investment in Rivian just demonstrates the value of good EV tech and Rivian doesn’t have close to what Exro has when it comes to offering OEMs cost reduction couples with performance increases….. a message Exro hasn’t been able to get across to the investing community. Heck even Sea has spectacular tech they couldn’t convince the investment community they had and became insolvent as a result. Sea beat out 12-15 other companies to win Toyota(hino…. Who made FJ cruiser fwiw) and Mack two big names in the last mile delivery space and who compete with Rivian in that space. So obviously SEA has great tech and when you extrapolate the numbers the $5B that went intro Rivian and their very specific market, what will that investment do for VW and what is Exro’s Value to the broader market with Better Tech. The answer to that question is what keeps me invested.

Why new technology takes a long time to be utilized, especially when you are dealing with the automobile industry.  (See minute 4.)  "There's a reason why:  they are new.  They are different - people are scared of change - maybe."  Sue came on board in Augues 2019 to bring the coil driver to the OEM's.  That's a more honest time to evaluate EXRO. ...more

Tesla already has a no PM motor. A no PM motor was the only motor they had for their first vehicles. GM Impact/EV1 had a no PM motor in the nineties.

With the Model 3 Tesla has reverted back to a pm machine/ https://electrek.co/2018/02/27/tesla-model-3-motor-designer-permanent-magnet-motor/ "So, as you know, our Model 3 has a permanent magnet machine now. This is because for the specification of the performance and efficiency, the permanent magnet machine better solved our cost minimization function, and it was optimal for the range and ...more

"Tesla is one of the very few EV manufacturers that hasn’t used a permanent magnet motor design until recently. Again, it’s a matter of what makes the most sense when all factors are considered. What motor will give the lowest cost, be the most efficient, and deliver the best performance? Until recently, Tesla’s answer to those questions was the AC induction motor. Induction motors tend to ...more
