Question for all the Doomsdayers/Naysayers

If Exro's technologies are bogus, explain why LInamar, Mack, Hino, Wolong, Giaffone and VMC are allowing Exro to continue using not only their names but their logos as well on Exro's web site. If EXRO doesn't have the goods, do you honestly believe those companies would allow for that?. NOT A PRAYER.
You folks figure out the rest.
Comment by jboom70 on Jul 30, 2024 6:10pm
Mack and Hino were part of a previous deal so they don't count. As for the rest, well just look at all the companies that are not listed on Exro's site anymore.  It's a long list, these companies will also move on. As for Sea give it 5 yr's and they won't have Mack anymore. You think Volvo is doing all this R&D and investment to just put a Sea drive in their truck ...more

Never denying the technology, it's useless if cannot go to massive production fast
Comment by HughGWrecktion on Jul 30, 2024 9:42pm
The question is will anybody make money if it goes into massive production fast?
Comment by Napcoo on Jul 30, 2024 10:04pm
Please remember the projected sales of coil drivers is 1000 units in 2024, empty manufacturing facility is huge financial burden
Comment by sorrenson on Jul 31, 2024 11:06am
No the 2024 forecast was to be 8725 plus 2000 in 2023      Plus after spending 500 million  they could add all the sea dirve sales hahahahha yes the 30000 they had forecast  Find me a press release disclosing that Coil Driver production will not meet published forecasts , like actually none or that SEA will be 29818 short of the 30000 forecast to date   & ...more

Is this the same Linamar that Exro posted on X about having their technology on display (https://x.com/exrotech/status/1793016309266960396) at ACT Expo but when you zoom in on the motor terminal box it looks like a normal three phase motor terminal box that appears to have no modification for Coil Driver (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GOIS04uXYAAWhn5?format=jpg&name=large). Yet the text of the ...more

I asked EXRO about that at the time and they stated all the EXRO boards etc are internal which makes sense. Might not even be using the coil driver tech jjust controllers etc  Linamar would not  be involved in a scam .   However if they actually thought i the coil driver magic beans were worth much they would have bought EXRO long ago. Of course they  had such little ...more

No it doesn't make sense. It looks exactly like the standard Linamar eAxle that has the inverter separate from the eAxle. The Coil Driver inverter is huge. There's no way there's a Coil Driver inverter in that eAxle. Demand proof!
Comment by Pandora on Jul 31, 2024 2:05pm
The blue billboard behind the axle says EXRO as part of the title. i.e. Linamar EXRO The write up on the billboard refers to: "Next-Gen eAxle powered by Patented Traction Inverter Technology" Not sure what you are saying.
Comment by Rokas92 on Jul 31, 2024 3:12pm
So far its just a billboard and a pipedream, Linamar was supposed to display a vehicle with Exro inside but they pulled out before the show. Not saying they dont have a prototype, but its not going live anytime soon. So much for years of collaboration...

HughGWrecktion, Such as lame post.... The Coil Driver can be packaged to suit the need (within reason of course). The physical dimensions are not limited to that which they show as a standalone product. The electronics can be configured to meet the needs of the project.
Comment by HughGWrecktion on Jul 31, 2024 4:10pm
Clearly you know nothing about eAxles and vehicle electrification. The poster has the Coil Driver inverter beside the eAxle. Look how big the inverter is. Where in the eAxle to they fit the inverter? Do you see the callouts identifying the components of the eAxle? There are callouts for gearbox, parking brake, motor, etc. The callout for the inverter is seperate from the eAxle. If you zoom in on ...more

SIMPLICITI1 The text of the post and the poster itself imply that the eAxle had Coil Driver inside when it's bloody obvious that it did not. Electronics is your background? Not very good at it if you can't understand that Exro's Coil Driver converts a single three-phase inverter into three single-phase inverters and what the implication for efficiency is.

I checked and  May 24th they responded with: "Robert good morning.  The Exro inverter/coil driver is imbedded in the EAxil. I will check if the first units will be using the 400 volt or 800-volt CD.    Jeffrey G O'Dowd Capital Markets & Investor Relations Exro Technologies Inc. | 7853 E Ray Rd, Mesa, AZ 85212 T: +1 (617-953-5385) | jodowd ...more
