I do not think there ever were wheels my assumption is the cost has always exceeded the potential benefit  I recall a clip where the head of Zero said it was a win for them because a publicly traded comapny did all the r&d for then with no risk to them

None of which matters if nobody buys a coil driver.  Which is the actual problem...  EV demand slowdown...  OK but Exros demand has always been zero

Or does a simple gearbox give you better advantages? For me the worm turned when I learned Sue was making over half a mil a year and climbing in a pre rev company.  That's nuts! She know's it's over and is just getting as much juice as she can.
