And here we are Again

at $3.00 just as promised. GLTA all that fretting by some for nothing. Cheers to the brave that bought more on that dip to $2.50

Good for you I think I see you on at least  the RET.A Board also. Just need that one to come to life someday soon.

Yes made some great money on that one (Ret.a) last year and still own a smaller position.  Management there seems content with doing absolutely nothing to make anyone want to own the stock, unfortunately.  You know, other than running a successful company with cash and real estate likely exceeding makrket cap.  I find their lack of even making a minimal effort to improve the stock ...more

I agree with you on that and even though RET. A is my second largest holding behind FAR.TO I did take a small amount off the table recently. I am having a great year so FAR  Pun Intended and even though a bad result should have minimal effect on the share price I want to protect my gains without being to greedy. I did pick it along with FAR and FSZ for the CEO.CA Stocking Picking contest at ...more

That's a helluva list in that contest and given one of your 3 is flat very nice performance. For a short time Ret.a was also my second largest position too but couldn't do it today with the lack of liquidity and management making it pretty clear they have no intention of playing ball.  At this point with all that cash to not even have the common decency to enact a NCIB is beyond ...more

I have been in RET.A  since $.50 and did sell a good amount on the run to over $4.00 last Feb so it has been a great pick for me also. I have been content to add some back over the last year but it is tough to hold when it seems like everything is going up except it. It should shine if there is a Big Pullback in the overall market, as there is no Air in the stock. I wil hold for till results ...more

Agreed.  I was in around $1.35 and sold most in the $3.25- 4.25 area. If management ever does just one thing that is seen as willing to do right by the shareholders it has the potential to double or more.  I usually make sure to duck out before earnings as it has a habit of dumping the day of, but will just hold what I have as it's become too illiquid to even bother trying to be ...more

i don't think it is intended as a "One Off". If earnings stay the same or better this will be an Annual occurence. I also believe if earnings grow so will our dividend.  If you go way back to 2007 2008 era they paid and raised the yearly dividend. I do think they will stick to the once a year payout though. The biggest shareholders have now retired and I assume they want that ...more

Yes sorry I did not mean one off per se, but to me anything less than quarterly is more like a special dividend, and couldn't even really be relied upon anually.  A nice bonus though.
