FCU Appoints Gary Haywood - VP Project Development

Fission Uranium Corp (FCU-TSX) https://fissionuranium.com/ has just appointed former McArthur River General Manager Gary Haywood as VP Project Development to advance their multi award winning high grade PLS Uranium Project in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Mr. Haywood is a professional Mining Engineer with 35 years’ experience, including seven years with Cameco as General Manager at the McArthur River and Senior Mine Engineer at the Eagle Point uranium mining operations in Saskatchewan, Canada. He will be responsible for taking the lead role in the next phases of advancement for PLS - Fission’s high-grade uranium project – in the Athabasca Basin, Canada.

Mr. Haywood’s experience encompasses every aspect of project development and production, with a particular focus on underground mining projects and high-grade uranium mining in the Athabasca Basin. For the past three years Mr Haywood has been providing project management consulting to the mining industry, helping to advance projects towards production, as well as assisting with underground mine engineering expertise and operational readiness planning. He is a skilled team leader and has strong track record of successful project delivery.

Ross McElroy, President and CEO, stated, "I’m delighted to welcome Mr. Haywood to the Fission team. He is a highly skilled and respected uranium mining engineer and project leader, and his expertise will be a huge asset to Fission. As we move through 2021, Fission will be accelerating the rate of advancement at our PLS project, and Mr. Haywood will play a critical role as we enter the Feasibility Study and Environmental Assessment phases.”

Ross McElroy as Fission’s relatively new CEO is in a hurry to get things done. He’s raised about C$40m since November so the funds are available to get on with this exciting (now) development story.  This follows the multi award winning success of Fission under the leadership of Dev Randhawa.

Giz I am a long term shareholder and believer in Fission, so don't take this the wrong way. Fission has a poor history on hiring, so with all do respect to uranium308, why are you calling him/her out when past data is factually correct.  I believe Fcu is at least, or should be north of $2 by now. way better deposit than Nexgen, yet lags behind.
Comment by Uraniuman308 on Jan 06, 2021 9:39pm
you make a good point, settoretire.  Regardless of what I or Gizard say, the truth is in the share price.  FCU lags DML and NXE on all comparatives.  If FCU is superior or equal, it should be trading at least over a dollar.  It's NOT.  While others are hitting or approaching 52 week highs, FCU is NOT.  In fact, it's never again hit the CGN subscription price.  ...more

Oh please you just keeping repeating the same B/S. I know your under pressure and might loose your $25 per day fee for bashing FCU due to poor performance, but you need to come up with some new bash material.

did it not hit .475 today it's it's  52 week high is .49...
Comment by Uraniuman308 on Jan 07, 2021 9:26am
my apologies...who would have thought our 52 week high is a measly .49 cents.  FCU performance is worse than I thought.  JMO

Apology accepted.  Just next time make sure you do some pretty simply research.  cheers.

for a real eye-opener on the pathetic performance of FCU compare the 5 year chart with DML (1.05) and NXE (4.02), both are about to take out their 5 year highs.  Five year high of FCU is .87 cents and we are no where close.  JMao
Comment by Lucky09 on Jan 07, 2021 1:38pm
But in the flip side of that FCU and NXE are up pretty much exactly the same off their 52 week low with DML coming in third.

Nobody gives a sh!t about what uranium308 has to say here. This poster is NOT a fission shareholder. Just a paid basher. Another of a team that spends all their time bashing and trashing fission. PLS is one of the best uranium discoveries in the world. The R840 and R1515 zones have not been fully explored. There is lots of potential yet to come. Most of these bashers on this board are from the ...more

FCU is still all talk. The money will not last forever and then what? More dilution? More debt which has little chance of ever being paid back? FCU also needs to be very careful not to mislead the market - people are watching everything they do.

Gov, It must be tough to be a FAT PIG and posting anonimously on this board. We would all love to know how you got you a$$ kicked by the fission management. Is this really the best you can do?

gizard16 it's great that you have a forum like this where you can vent your frustrations but simultaneously it's also quite sorrowful for you that the extent of just about everything you do related to your small cap investment activities does not go beyond that of a couple of social media platforms.
