Trading

I am with Itrade and they have a trade restriction on FCU.  Apparently it is possible to sell but the only way to buy is to phone Itrade and let them handle the transaction.  I did phone in and the only info was irregular trading.  Tried again this morning but same scenario.  Anybody have this issue with other platforms? Cheers.

Been well over a year on I-Trade - i have same problem.  I have messaged with Board Member Rob Chang about it a few times and he said they have contacted Scotiabank a few times and are frustrated as we are.   I pushed Scotia I-Trade on it - and apparently a couple of years back shares were being accessed and traded somehow on their platform (short selling it sounded like - so maybe ...more

@ kona55 - You may want to review the paperwork on your trading account.  Your platform may be kicking out your buy orders because of the 2 day settlement period regulation.  In other words, the funds from a stock sale don't register in your trading account for 2 days and if you're up against your cash balance or margin limit, the platform kicks out your buy order on the basis of ...more
