Reverse Split Experience
My only personal experience with reverse splits was on a company that did a 200:1 split. In all fairness, the stock was a penny stock (@ $0.05) and had been struggling for a few years, but the upside potential was interesting. The reverse split took it to $10.00/share. The reasoning for the split was similar to FCU's, in hoping to open their trading to amercan markets and increased interest. Upon the date of the split, the stock started its race to get back to the pre-split price. I bailed about half-way down on its free fall to the bottom. That stock is no longer listed I believe.
Am I a fan of reverse splits? You tell me! :(

Because of poor management the share price has performed poorly.

@199930 - Maybe you should be hired by shareholders if you know something about management. Do you know how to make an application to the Provincial and Federal nuclear authorities for starting a uranium mine?
