How would the cnsolidatin benefit the shareholder?

The mtherhood resons layed out on p8 for the consolidation leads the reader to:
-dual listing in USA
-increase interest by a wider audience
-approval does not mean teh Board will implement.

So what's the benefit... anyone?

@ SidelineSam - The value of FCU will be the same so there isn't any immediate change that way.  Perhaps think of it this way.  Why doesn't Exxon, Apple, Microsoft, or any other large cap stock trade solely on the TSX?  Or why don't McDavid, McKinnon, or Matthews play in the AHL?  It's because the size of the pie in the American markets and in the NHL is bigger.
