Pretty ridicolous, but a low float can do magic to the share price if lots of speculators want to take place. Some guy @ the Oyl board thought that Oyl will have a higher share price then FEC in a not to distant future, anything can happen but then 85% stake needs to be lower than 70% stake and 100 milion shares needs to be more than 300 milion shares.

I don't think it is speculation but pure mnipulation.  You do not have the large majority of trades being small lot trades, sometime 30 or more per second, often 100 lot trades between the same two houses if you are buying for speculation or even if there were a leak. In addition, the large majority of trades are on the Alternate (dark) markets.  We cannot see what is happening
