That's what Petro has done to Columbias oil and gas industry ...this will not be the last to exit Columbia ...

Frank would you mind stop insulting the intelligence of people reading your posts? It's Colombia not Columbia. I couldnt find anything stating Petro was responsible for Exxon pulling out of Colombia. In fact all permits were approved by Govt. Maybe you want to blame Brazil Lula for Exxon quitting Brazil as well.

  Petro cancelled the fracking pilot programs. A joint operation between ECO and XOM (Kale & Platero). He is also trying to make fracking a criminal act helping to make its future beyond his term bleak   VMM-37 was XOM's potentially large Colombian play but without the ability to frack it's not worth the efforts   I would say, that all the above was a big ...more

Nice try XOM and VMM-37 was to move forward but was continually bogged down by environmental and judicial challenges. This all came to a head with the creation of the pilot projects. Kale and Platero where to scientifically test the ramifications of fracking. It was full steam ahead until Petro and his party were elected whom stopped the pilots and are know supporting the criminalization of ...more

Mat, from "the horse's mouth" - minute 7:20 in the following link and Biden's reply at about minute 9:00. Both want a carbon free energy supply and obsolete the fossil fuel industry - coal, oil and gas. The hostility towards hydrocarbons is obvious.
