Article on Suriname, Block 58, and a Wei mention

I have to agree with Frank, Frontera Guyana or FEC likely will be sold within months, UNLESS the well somehow sucks or they go into some type of advanced testing. Any chance they do flow tests like it appears they did in Block 58 to interconnect two wells?

They did not just suddenly break up the company into 3 sellable parts for any reason I can think of but to be able to now potentially sell the Port and pipelines and the Guyana concession separate from the Colombian oil company The Wei is mentioned in this article in the link at the bottom.

This was one of the answers to a question Christine asked about the geology and oil in the recent Q1 Q and A . Not sure what the indiscernible means but mentions block 58,  but many of their answers are not very clear as clearly indicated in  this quote from the Q & A:

"Second one is basically in regards to your questrions abou the oil in Masstrichtian and Campanian and more like [indisernible] or block 58. Basically the point is, in there is that we are still analyzing the data. When we released was the information that we have so far. And whilst we get the the get [CPE-6] and the well, and we are able to analyze the data, we might make some more really more information about this, right? But basically, we are encouraged and then we are going to analyze the information and intergrated"    ??????????

Kcac1, Well on Kawa they announced the discovery of a hydrocarbon system - source, migration pathway, trap. Everybody has known for years that the massive Canje formation underlying the entire basin is the "source kitchen". You can reference a study done by Yallup and Scotsman of Halliburton by googling it. They say in the report that to this day kerogen is being converted into ...more

Kelvin, I have to agree with Frank again and I often don't agree with him. This well surely will cost $200mm overall, almost all paid by FEC and all approved by de Alba. This is surely their last well, they surely can't afford appraisal wells and de Alba surely would spend the $20 to $30mm or more if it could interconnect the two wells and potentially increase the resource from 200mm boe ...more

Interesting kalc1. I read the link. Within it is this: "Well tests at the exploration stage also allow operators to determine if low flow rates are affected by skin or are the result of natural permeability of the reservoir. Armed with the knowledge of either situation, engineers can then take appropriate actions, plan treatments that may be necessary once production commences or decide to ...more

Lol, Dirksidetrack (DST). Show me and most others of my ilk great build back pressure when shutting in after flowing through various choke diameters to prove commercial flow rates  of at least 20,000 bbls per day. That would get my attention. I seriously think that they have it. Just gotta prove it.
