I don't get it

Is there anything stopping me from tendering my FEC shares for $12  and purchasing the same number back at the present price in another trading account I have

Have never seen this before???

No there is nothing to stop you from picking up shares for $8 now and tendering those shares that you had in your account ...smart move but they do not have to purchase all you old shares so buy a small position .and watch ...we all will be getting a dividend on the 16 th ...you could also buy a few more shares with that cash ...as long as you had the shares in your account Oct 2 nd ...good luck ...more

There are taxes to consider, but the main thing is that they are only allocating U$30Mil to buy back roughly 4% of the outstanding shares on a Pro-Rata Basis. If Catalyst and Gramercy both participate in full, they will get 55% ot the $30mil. since they own 55% of the shares. I think this entire very strange and purposely confusing deal was devised because Catalyst needs cash, thus they own 41% of ...more
