'Stay away': Bay Street cautious on pot stocks as legalizati

What's everyone's thoughts on this "scare" news article released by BNN today?

Possibly one of the reasons for the sell off we saw today?

Seems to me like a bunch of portfolio managers who can't sell people into the resource and energy sectors as they once did trying to divert people's money from pot stocks into the other sectors that may be suffering interest at the moment.  What they say may have merit to the overvalued pigs that are out there (i.e. Canopy & Tilray), but they are painting the entire sector with the same brush.

That’s a good take on it, I’m getting a little annoyed with the articles because they always seem to be exaggerated. With FIRE being undervalued would explain the green finish in the red sea....we will be closing the SP gap with the likes of ACB and WEED as fundamentals drive SP. whether we will ever be on par with ...more

BNN has been on this negativity train for years. The hosts of the show went from smirking at the thought of MJ stocks to now having a whole section dedicated to MJ news. Whole new sector with a lot of unlocked potential. We all know not all the LPs will survive and go through consolidation. Just scare tactics in my opinion.
