Tom are you trying to tell us your sophisticated enough to have a trading account that allows you to take a short position yet you do not understand one of the basics of trading. Not all quotes show all the volume from all the exchanges. You need a streaming service that shows the consolidated quote. You would know this if you had ever really shorted a stock in your life.
