to break through those thick asks.  

Almost 1 million shares need to be chewed through from 2.14 to 2.20

It is for this stock.  Three hours into a trading day with news and we've only traded half a million shares. And we need 1 million shares of pure buyers hitting the ask.  That demand doens't exist.
