Aphria smashes revenue

https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/aphria-inc-announces-net-cannabis-revenue-increases-65-from-prior-quarter-and-fourth-consecutive-quarter-of-positive-adjusted-ebitda-884920459.
  • Gross revenue for adult-use cannabis of $44.7 million in the third quarter, an increase of 54% from prior quarter and the 5th consecutive quarter of growth.
  • Net cannabis revenue of $55.6 million in the third quarter, an increase of 65% from prior quarter.
  • Net revenue of $144.4 million in the third quarter, an increase of 96% from prior year quarter and increase of 20% from prior quarter.
  • Operating income of $8.7 million in the third quarter, compared to a loss of $9.6 million in the prior quarter.
  • As previously disclosed, customer demand exceeded the Company's supply capabilities in the third quarter as a result of the timing of Aphria Diamond's license receipt and, as a short-term measure, the Company purchased wholesale product from other Licensed Producers to supplement its near-term supply capabilities. Wholesale product purchases resulted in a higher cost and less margin opportunity for those sales. During the quarter, sales of purchased cannabis accounted for $20.2 million, with gross profit of $5.1 million and a gross margin of 25.2%.

The MJ indsutry as a whole needed this..... especially at this time when there is such need for good news. I must admit this was a pretty impressive Quarterly. The market needs some sort of becon of success to see that it is possible in MJ. Aphria looks to be that beacon and have taken the reigns from CGC and ACB (thankfully). Come on Supreme, put your big boy pants on and start playing with the ...more

Way jf, ~$40 if not this quarter next and they will do better volume than APHA in a quarter or two...APHA  shows how any in the sector will do when they do the sales and bring in the revenues the SP responds well even in such depressed times market wide. FIRE has just started to really get the product out countrywide and as they are sold out in most places they can't get to restock for a ...more

Humble apologies jf you are correct, to quote a great man Chief Dan George in Little Big Man...."I will endeavour to persevere". And none of this negative cardiac stuff, especially at this stage of the game. A nice essential oil blend and a thin one from the FIREmenu and enjoy as many of these golden years one can get, even spin a little vinyl a lot more often, JMHO...Opt

Oh Mari! Aphria has already lost steam and sitting at 5%. Nothing will lift this industry. Still over valued.

Stop spreading bullshit! The whole market is down quite a bit now and it has nothing to do with supreme or aphria or any company! Right now people are worried about the covid-19 and how the economy is gonna come back from all this

finally some good news in the MJ industry and this didn't include March so we could see some nice numbers from FIre when they report their earnings, maybe $15 to $20 million revenue, that would transalte to a nice jump inn SP
