I say you consider buying FIRE.DB instead. It at least has a contractual obligation to get $100 plus interest for every $30 invested based on the market cap by next October (but they have to have a plan in place by next July). I have no idea what the equity will be in that scenario but ~3-4x your capital in a little over a year seems to fit your criteria. Hopefully Opt and Vulcan will ...more

In my opinion, they can't sell equity method, as their bound to restrictions from the asset-backed bmo loan. That's why they had to sell treasury shares, last legs? You bet. Why need 9m too when you just did financing from bmo?  I've said it all the way from $2 down to now, the legislation wasn't intended on LPs to succeed, they were created to battle Canada's acmpr ...more

Imo, No problem Brent! Few hundred bucks they'll get a doc to sign a note for you and your off to the races, just like the other 40,000 licenses out there.  Oh by the way, love the name of the new product your going to make, I'm sure it won't be stale and yellow because you'll have it out to the market immediately after you cure it unlike the months of lead time from LPs. Oh ...more

OH brother ....... lots of people are addicted to alcohol and require it on a daily basis - you dont see everyone in Canada making moonshine or wine. Growing cannabis is hard - ask around. Majority of people are not going to spend the time to grow - and never mind in CANADA. With this climate. Those that do try - realize its not so easy and quality is hard to produce. Get real guys. Progress since ...more

Imo, john, liquor is not even on the same spectrum the same. Liquor didn't have a license that allowed production, allowing another competitor to exist. LPs have no choice here to abolish them as it's already been through the courts and that was how the LP program came to existence was from the mmar personal production licenses. Growing is hard? That's the defence? You heard of YouTube ...more

Why don't I grow my own tomatoes, cucumbers and any other crop I could, store it for the winter!?  How much am I saving and how much effort do I need to put in just to get a crop.  If the angle is to save money - well you can get weed on ocs in bulk for 4 bucks a gram. Not saving much growing your own. If at all.  if you want quality - genetics/unique strains/well grown ...more

Imo, your right the home growers only will grow 4 plants (legal rec growing limit) and aren't your customer anyways, but the personal production licenses aren't for homegrowers really.. a potential of almost 2000 plants at a location is basically the size of LPs. Were talking hundreds of lights. Your brain is basically crossing out all the black market in existence and thinking they don ...more

Imo, no problem Brent. I got one better for you, don't worry about then selling your product you produce to a unlicensed dispensary because John Conroy(lawyer) who won the appeal for the acmpr personal production licenses to exist in the first place, is also going back to court right now to allow all license holders to sell to the black dispensaries like they have been.  Even better yet ...more

I'm not sure what you mean, Selling equity and selling treasury shares is the same thing.

thank you for your comments.. i too stayed in the background for a long time.. but there comes a time when you have to defend your investment.. i felt it was not right to leave it up to others to fight for me.. i came forward long ago to aid opt ..maritime and others. defend our investment.. there are many obvious shorts.. tommy.. tool.. others.. but there are also others that are more cleaver. go ...more

Good to hear from you Fit, it has been a long haul for many of us but that is to be expected from a brand new sector/industry....not that the product is new but the legalization and the legal market is new and it has it's growing pains like they all do and there is a high level of risk of which even potentially good companies don't make it for one reason or another. I have invested in ...more
